Training and research bursary applications open for GP Fellows and GP Registrars
Success! Your request has been sent and a representative will be in contact soon.
Applications are now open for AMA Queensland Foundation’s inaugural GPTQ Training and Research Bursary applications. Up to four (4) applicants will be awarded bursaries of up to $20,000 this year, to be distributed in 2026.
The bursary is available to those GP Fellows (GPs) or GP Registrars (GPRs) who live and work in Queensland and are seeking funding for training and research initiatives that improve health outcomes in their community.
The aim of the bursary is to:
- increase the quality of healthcare in Queensland; and
- attract or retain doctor numbers in areas of need.
The bursary continues the legacy of General Practice Training Queensland (GPTQ) and its outstanding contribution to training and building a robust GP workforce in our state.
